Industry veteran and former Sainsbury’s CEO Justin King is to join the Snappy Group as senior adviser and investor.
The Snappy Group comprises two digital-based businesses:
- Snappy Shopper, which is a grocery delivery service, and
- Hungrrr, an online ordering app for the hospitality sector used by businesses such as Hilton, BrewDog and Subway
During King’s time at Sainsbury’s he led the business through a major turnaround followed by nine years of profit growth. Prior to that he was head of food at Marks & Spencer.
King said: “I have been hugely impressed by the Snappy Group’s affordable solution, leadership team and rapid growth. The company is championing the needs of businesses in their local community.
