Retailers should be on the lookout for the latest tobacco voucher scam, which claims to offer shoppers £3 off JPS products.
Just a month since the £5 off JTI products scam appeared in the West Midlands, Imperial Tobacco has been targeted by fraudsters. The voucher is blue and circular and Imperial Tobacco has confirmed it is not associated with the scam.
The manufacturer said a number of retailers across the UK have already been approached by tobacco shoppers trying to use the vouchers. It urged any retailers offered the vouchers as payment to report it to the Action Fraud hotline on 0300 123 2040 or to speak to their Imperial Tobacco rep.
