EPoS firm IT Retail Systems (ITS) has begun the rollout of its Kwik-e Shopper home delivery app, with initial signups including major retailers from Booker and Nisa.
The app was launched as a pilot in Premier Townhill, in Swansea, and Londis Dagenham since the start of July. ITS commercial director John Haslam told Better Retailing that the stores in the pilot achieved 120 orders in the opening weeks, and 12 stores have since joined. Among the 12 retailers to join is Amrit Singh of H and Jodie’s Nisa in Walsall.
ITS also has partnerships with Costcutter and Spar. Explaining its features, ITS managing director Tanveer Mirza said the app can be instantly integrated into any store with the company’s EPoS.
“This allows any promotions, pricing and stock availability to be instantly updated,” he added. “It can save any retailer using the app so much time.”
DeliveryDrop recruits indies to grow home delivery network
Other features also allow the customer to repurchase items from a previous basket or favourited lines, look at reduced pricing on stock, multibuy promotions and leave notes for the delivery drivers. Age-restricted items will also be flagged to the delivery driver, ensuring they ask for ID.
Retailers can also add their own loyalty scheme and customise the app to match the branding of their own store.
Haslam added that the firm is sending promotional material to stores to help them raise awareness of the service.
