Overall, net revenue for UK retail increased by 9.2% to £7.7m. Card transaction values in PayPoint’s network of convenience sites rose less than the rate of inflation, increasing £5m to £610m, signifying a potential drop in real-terms customer card spending in partnered stores.
PayPoint stores are now handling “well over” one million parcels per week, up 84% year on year, which chief executive Nick Wiles attributed to new carrier partners and new printers in store, with a further 3,000 devices to roll out this year.
