Parfetts to open Birmingham cash and carry in early 2023

Parfetts is to open its new Birmingham cash and carry early next year on the doorstep of rival Bestway.

A spokesperson for the wholesaler confirmed to Better Retailing that the 100,000sq ft site, announced this year, will be based on the Redfern Industrial Park, a 23-minute drive from Birmingham city centre. Parfetts will provide competition to existing wholesalers on the industrial estate, which include Bestway, Kartar Cash & Carry and Alenaz.

Retailers in the area have reacted positively to the upcoming cash and carry, praising the expanded choice. Parfetts has been on a major expansion drive over the last year and the Birmingham depot will add to existing cash and carries in Aintree, Anfield, Halifax, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Somercotes and Stockport.
