One Stop has announced it will be rolling out a new EPoS system to its franchisees in March.
Managing director Sarah Lawler confirmed the news to Better Retailing at the convenience chain’s 1,000th store opening in Wolverhampton last week.
It is understood the system records automatically, therefore removing the need for scanning, and also houses an integrated real-time connection between back office and online delivery menus.
Lawler revealed the system has already been installed in centrally-owned sites, who have seen bigger basket spend through home delivery as a result. “Our job with our franchisees is to be helpful, so we don’t put anything out to them unless we know it’s absolutely right,” she said.
“In our company-owned stores, we’ve been partnered with Deliveroo, Just Eat, and Uber to make sure that we always have drivers available.”
