Booker has reduced the available space for tobacco in its cash and carries to make room for growing vaping brands, according to store owners.
Several of the wholesaler’s retailers told Better Retailing that they had noticed more vaping products displayed in their local depots.
Ken Singh, of BB Nevison Superstore in Pontefract, added: “It’s unsurprising, as tobacco is declining, and you can make more profit with vaping. I’ve seen more lines of brands such as SKE Crystal at my local branch recently. It’s positive as vaping outsells tobacco in my shop.”
