Indies are focus of totally tropical Oasis juice launch

by Steven Lambert

Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) is following up last year’s launch of Oasis Mango Medley with a new tropical flavoured juice targeted squarely at independent stores.

Oasis Pineapple Rush will take advantage of positive juice sales through local and symbol stores, which are currently growing at 11% according to the company. It will be available in plain and £1 pricemarked packs from this month.

The move coincides with a pack redesign for the entire Oasis range, backed with a TV ad campaign airing from 1 May.

In addition, CCE has unveiled Oasis Mighty Drops, a 56ml pack of highly concentrated squash that can be used to flavour water while on the move. It joins the likes of Britvic and Vimto, which have added similar packs to their squash and juice ranges.

Mighty Drops will come with an RRP of £2.49 and promise to offer 28 servings per pack. It will launch next month in Mixed Berry, Mango Tropical and Raspberry Lemonade flavours.

Caroline Cater, operational marketing director at CCE, said: “With the juice drink sector performing strongly and growing in indies and symbols, we wanted to continue to drive this growth by investing in Oasis and broadening the appeal of the brand.”
