Imperial Tobacco has announced a raft of activity to drive tobacco sales over the summer and beyond.
The company is launching new products and redesigns across Player’s Crushball, JPS and Lambert & Butler brands.
Following its launch in 18-packs last month, Player’s Crushball has extended into 10s, RRP £3.25, to capitalise on its position as the lowest-priced capsule cigarette on the market.
Emma Stew, brand portfolio manager at Imperial Tobacco, said capsules have quickly gained a share the cigarette market of almost 8.5%.
“The 10s format is extremely popular in the capsule segment and Crushball offers the best value,” she added.
Meanwhile, Lambert & Butler is rebranding and redesigning its packs, giving L&B Blue a modern look. L&B Blue King Size and Smooth will now be called ‘Real Blue’ and ‘Smooth Blue’ respectively.
Similarly, Lambert & Butler Original and Smooth will change names to ‘Silver’ and ‘Smooth Gold’. Packs of smooth and menthol flavours will now have hinge lids, which replacing the previous mechanism.
Also benefitting from a new look is JPS Black, Blue, Silver, Menthol and White. The range is available in both price-marked packs and non-PMPs.
