HSBC is to shut 114 branches across the UK next year, affecting access to cash in local communities and banking for some independent retailers.
Stores previously stated the closures would lead to more time spent travelling to bank takings, and more demand for Post Office banking services.

Once the phased closures are complete, there will be 327 HSBC branches, following the shutdown of 151 sites over the past two years.
HSBC added it is investing tens of millions in improving its network.
