Hancocks appoints new manager of Manchester store

Nick Edwards will oversee a team of ten at the store in Gorton

Hancocks has enhanced its support for its Manchester store with the appointment of Nick Edwards as manager.

Edwards will oversee a team of 10 staff at the store in Gorton.

He joined Hancocks from Tesco, where he served as a store manager across Manchester, Lancashire, and Merseyside.

Commenting on his appointment, Edwards said: “The role is very hands-on, which I enjoy. Every day I’m getting the opportunity to meet customers from all different industries. We work closely with sweet shops, convenience stores, market traders, seasonal events, and e-commerce sellers.”

Hancocks CEO Jonathan Summerley added: “The North West is a great region to do business in, and Nick has lots of valuable managerial experience working in Lancashire, Manchester, and Merseyside.”
