Store owners have reported hesitance around seasonal pre-sell orders due to market volatility.
Symbol groups such as Nisa and Costcutter opened their Halloween and Christmas pre-sell last month.

“I’m worried I won’t get the stock because of supply issues due to the coronavirus. I’ll order based on customer demand,” he said.
Coronavirus advice: How retailers can avoid eviction
Atul Sodha, of Londis Peverills in Uxbridge, west London, added: “I know retailers who have done their Christmas pre-sell orders. I’ve thought about it, but we don’t know what to expect.
“I’ll probably go easy, but I might make judgements based on previous seasonal periods. Customers in lockdown bought Easter eggs, which is a good sign.”
