The government has ended the ‘naming and shaming’ of employers including stores that fail to pay the National Minimum and Living Wage (NMW).
The Department for Businesses (DBEIS) confirmed the listing of businesses will be prohibited until its consultation on the regulations of NMW has been completed.
A DBEIS spokesperson said: “Last year, we doubled the National Minimum Wage enforcement budget and helped 200,000 workers receive the pay they deserved. We are reviewing the effectiveness of the tools at our disposal to ensure hard workers get the pay they deserve.”
