Go Local Extra store unveiled in Hull

After completing a successful refurbishment programme the store has switched from Nisa to Parfetts

A convenience store based in Hull has joined the Go Local Extra network after completing a successful refurbishment programme.

Navpreet Kaur, who took over the running store in 2018, has extended her relationship with Parfetts Go Local Extra after switching from Nisa.

Commenting on the store’s new Go Local Extra, Kaur said: “Parfetts represents great value for money which is what my customers are looking for. This, combined with great promotions and strong team support, were the main reasons for partnering with Parfetts and Go Local. I feel that as a community focused store we’re providing much more of a service than just being a local shop. The store plays an important role in supplying lots of local people in the surrounding community with their everyday shopping needs. Many of our customers who are regular visitors to the store have come to rely on us particularly over the past year or so.”

Kaur worked closely with the team from Parfetts and has undertaken significant store improvements, installing new chiller units, increasing shelving space, adding to the variety of own-brand stock and providing a wide range of products for customers.

Steven Moore, head of retail at Parfetts, said: “We’ve been working closely with Navpreet to ensure her store is well equipped to meet the needs of her customers. She has embraced the promotions we offer with real enthusiasm and this has translated into strong sales and the availability of own brand Go Local produce on the shelf means customers are getting value as well as choice.

“The new Go Local Extra store looks great and has already made an impact on customers with footfall steadily increasing all the time.”
