The Federation of Wholesale Distributors (FWD) alongside Booker, Pricecheck and Costco employees met with MP Joan Ryan to demonstrate the support wholesalers provide to independent retailers.
The meeting was held at the House of Commons last month as part of the FWD’s Skills and Development Awards. FWD CEO James Bielby said: “Helping MPs understand the vital role of wholesale in the convenience sector is crucial to ensuring smaller retailers are fairly represented in policy making.”
Ryan added: “It’s essential that we as parliamentarians do all we can to support the wholesale sector.”
