Independent retailers can obtain free debt advice and support, following a partnership with GroceryAid and Business Debtline.
Retailers and small business owners can now get tips and guidance from GroceryAid, or contact the charity for advice.
Welfare director Mandi Leonard stressed “dealing with debt can be overwhelming”, and hoped the move would help those battling the cost-of-living crisis, which is “having a knock-on effect on small business’ profits and their owners”.
