Ministers have today (June 26) published the ‘final’ consultation on the introduction of plain packaging for tobacco.
The Government stated it “has not yet made a final decision” on whether to introduce standardised packaging of tobacco products.
But the consultation includes a complete draft of the proposed regulations to bring in standardised packaging.
Retailers have until August 7 to respond to the consultation and tell the Government how plain packaging would affect their businesses.
See the consultation here.
