Click and collect has helped vaping and soft drinks grow by more than 50% year on year at Scottish wholesaler Filshill.

As a result of introducing the service last summer, total soft drinks and vaping sales grew annually by 54% in December.

Filshill retail sales director Craig Brown said: “We did some research that told us our customers wanted the convenience of ordering online without having to leave their stores and a service that allowed them to collect their orders when it suited them.”

Mark Love, of KeyStore Denny in Falkirk, added: “Instead of me heading to the nearest cash and carry if I’m short of stock, I now do click and collect and jump in my van – by the time I have driven to Glasgow, it’s ready, and within an hour I’m back at the shop.

“It’s a great service and a real benefit for us.”
