Tapping into the unavoidable craze that is Universal Pictures’ Minions, Ferrero is launching limited-edition Kinder Surprise eggs, which contain Minions toys.
Available from August, the toys are available in single eggs, RRP 86p and multipacks of three, RRP £2.21.
The launch will be supported by TV and video on demand advertising and PoS. The activity is part of the brand’s £3.6m marketing investment and the TV ad will run for five weeks from September 14.
Levi Boorer, customer development director at Ferrero, said: “Keeping people engaged with limited-edition toys, such as Minions, is a fantastic way to help retailers drive sales.”
