Retailers are seeing soft drinks sales soar with two Lucozade Energy flavours that are exclusive to independent retailers.

Launched in March, Lucozade Blackcurrant Bliss and Pineapple Punch are available in £1 380ml price-marked packs.

Anish Parekh, Broadoak Post Office & Londis in Ashton-under-Lyne, told Retail Express: “I stock price-marked Pineapple Punch and it’s doing very well. I’ve tried it myself and it’s a good product in well-designed packaging. These are the correct ingredients for a successful product.”

Premier retailer Thushy Subramaniam stocks both flavours in his store in Chartham, Kent, and is offering Blackcurrant Bliss free when shoppers buy a bottle of Lucozade Energy.

“These are flying off the shelves. We’re selling around a case a week, which is fast for my shop,” he said.

Retailers can promote the drinks with PoS, such as shelf barkers, wobblers and counter-top units.
