Specialist wholesaler Epicurium has signed an agreement with Booker to distribute products from suppliers it works with to Premier, Londis and Budgens stores.

The agreement, which was signed between the two wholesalers in June, adds to existing relationships with Nisa and Costcutter.  Epicurium Wholesale managing director Ben McKechnie told RN: “We have more than 700 active customers and I expect this deal to add 600 more independent retailers over the course of the next year.

“We’ll have access to a larger customer base of independent retailers who have already established a good reputation. There’s lots of potential and opportunity as part of this agreement.”

The County Durham-based wholesaler distributes products from specialist suppliers which are focused on healthier lifestyles, such as The Primal Pantry, Deliciously Ella, Fit Bites and Gnaw. Mr McKechnie added the products supplied into convenience stores will vary based on their location and customer base.
