‘Eat Out to Help Out’ registration process ‘straightforward’

Retailers who applied for the government’s ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ scheme have described the registration process as straightforward.

The scheme offers diners 50% off (up to £10) food and soft drinks at restaurants every Monday to Wednesday throughout August.

Government cuts VAT on catering & takeaway foods to 5%

Retailers with seated dining areas are also eligible, and the government will reimburse the difference from the discounts.

Mital Morar, who has two stores with seated dining areas in Manchester, told Better Retailing: “The process of applying for the government scheme was quite straightforward.”
