Speciality wholesaler Cotswold Fayre has opened a distribution centre in High Wycombe to improve deliveries to its customers.
The company relocated its distribution operations from its previous centre in Berkshire this month.
Cotswold Fayre chief executive Paul Hargreaves told Better Retailing: “The move is part of our strategy to become carbon-neutral, but the location will allow us to reach our retail customers across the country quicker with fewer disruptions. The fleet previously had to make stops in the Midlands.”
Earlier this year, fellow specialist wholesaler Epicurium doubled its retail distribution to 2,800 convenience stores after signing deals to supply forecourts across the country.
