The National Lottery has begun airing a set of new TV ads filmed at a south-west London independent convenience store.
The ads in Dowsetts Newsagents in Teddington feature Lotto players talking about what they would do with their winnings and who they’d share their prize with.
Store owner Bharat Mehta said: “We had an amazing time having The National Lottery team in filming for the new advertisements.
“There was lots of excitement and buzz with our customers, so we’re delighted to see our shop in the adverts being shown now on TV.”
Camelot is promising to create 13 millionaires from its lottery draw tonight.
In a statement describing the impact to stores, James Pearson, head of retail at Camelot, said it was a “sales opportunity that will definitely not prove unlucky for our retail partners”.
