Coca-Cola Great Britain and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) are partnering to extend the rollout of attached caps to the brand’s 500ml plastic bottles.
From today, attached caps will begin to appear across 500ml bottles of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke and Fanta Zero, before being rolled out across all Coca-Cola brands and pack sizes by 2024.
This latest stage of the rollout will start in the supplier’s manufacturing site in Edmonton, north London.
Coca-Cola to roll out attached caps across range
CCEP started the rollout of attached caps across 1.5l bottles of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke and Fanta from its bottling plant in East Kilbride, Scotland in May.
Stephen Moorhouse, vice president and general manager at CCEP GB, said: “This small but significant change helps to ensure that when consumers recycle our bottles, the caps stay attached and don’t get left behind as litter.”
