A retailer has generated extra revenue by selling children’s toys.
Amrit Singh, of Nisa Local High Heath in Walsall, told Better Retailing he started selling the toys at the start of November after noticing parents panic-buying presents for Christmas ahead of the second lockdown.
What’s next for the UK’s best shop, Nisa Local High Heath?
“I noticed a queue outside my nearest WHSmith before the second lockdown came into effect,” he said. “I made the initial purchases at Costco. I’m going to monitor sales before deciding whether to stock a bigger range.”
He added he has made £1,000 in revenue since selling toys.
He added: “We are catering to a need and it’s working well for us.”
