Amazon has launched a drive-through store in the US – the latest move in its assault on the convenience store market.
The retail giant is testing AmazonFresh Pickup in two locations in Seattle. Through the service, shoppers can order items from a selected list and, within minutes, drive to pre-selected points to have their shopping delivered to the boot of their car.
There’s no minimum spend and the service is free to Amazon Prime subscribers.
At the end of last year, Amazon launched Amazon Go – stores where shoppers can tap in, pick up their shopping and walk out.
