Wholesaler Parfetts has acquired Blakemore Wholesale's Middlesbrough cash and carry depot.
The acquisition of the warehouse increases Parfetts' total number of warehouses to seven, including depots in Stockport, Aintree, Sheffield, Somercotes, Halifax and Anfield.
The purchase will be completed on 22 June and trading will commence on 25 June. All 33 staff currently employed will be retained.
Parfetts joint managing director Greg Suszczenia said: "Retailers in Teesside will now join other Parfetts customers in benefiting from everyday low prices, a powerful three weekly promotional programme, strong availability and expansive range.
"Couple that with the industry leading Go Local retail fascia, we’re certain the trusted Parfetts' formula will prove to be a great success in this new branch.”
The acquisition comes after Blakemore Wholesale announced the sale of its 12 depots in April. United Wholesale Grocers purchased the Gateshead depot this month, while Barnsley and Newport branches are reportedly set to close today (15 June).
