Urban Eat adds Chipotle Chicken Burrito to microwave-snack range

32% of consumers are interested in trying Mexican food out of home

Urban Eat has added a Chipotle Chicken Burrito to its range of microwave snacking products.

The supplier says the new launch taps into demand for Mexican cuisine, which is set to continue to trend into 2024.

According to research from foodservice wholesale Bidfood, 32% of consumers saying they’d like to try it out of home.

Wayne Greensmith, head of customer marketing at Urban Eat, said: “We’ve been thrilled with the consumer and customer response to our microwave-snacking range and the results of our smart retail solution trials. The broad range of options and bespoke in-store unit allow our customers to offer delicious hot food in store, without additional staff or training needed.

“It therefore made total sense to expand the options further with a mouth-watering new addition. Packing a punch, the Mexican-inspired Chipotle Chicken Burrito is guaranteed to be a winner this winter and beyond.”
