Thatchers Cider has launched a new round of advertising made by animation studio Aardman, running alongside summer sport events.

The new football-themed series of adverts will debut from 18 May, during the final weekend of this Premier League season.

They will also run across the FA Cup final, UEFA Euro 2024, the women’s UEFA Euro 2025 qualifiers. Cricket-themed adverts will also air alongside Vitality Blast matches from the end of May and during the international cricket season this summer.

Like the initial advert made with Aardman that aired last summer, they feature fourth-generation cider maker Martin Thatcher and family dog Myrtle, at the supplier’s Myrtle Farm cider farm.

Kate Cox, CEO of Bray Leino, Thatchers’ creative agency, said: “As well as aligning Thatchers with sporting events, we really wanted to further immerse audiences in the Thatchers brand, with touching nods to the family nature of the business.”

The adverts will be supported by outdoor and social media advertising this summer.
