Tango is reintroducing its popular Cherry Sugar Free flavour, aiming to boost excitement in the soft drinks category.
The updated version of this flavour will be available from October, offering consumers a bold cherry taste, now with no added sugar.
Following innovations with flavours like Tango Mango and Tango Apple, the return of Tango Cherry Sugar Free is expected to attract a broad audience, from loyal fans of the flavour to those seeking new fruit-flavoured options, including Gen-Z and families.
Cherry remains one of the top flavours in the soft drinks market, valued at £309m, making it a strong addition to Tango’s portfolio. The reintroduction of Tango Cherry is designed to provide retailers with a long-term sales opportunity in the fruit-flavoured carbonates sector.

Ben Parker, Britvic’s retail commercial director for Great Britain, said: “We’ve had many consumers requesting the return of our iconic Tango Cherry flavour on social media, so there really was no better time to bring it back and excite the category with yet another bold, popular flavour.
“We know how important it is to keep innovating to keep shoppers interested and excited by the category and we are confident this one is going to be a hit in-store.”
The re-release follows the success of Tango Apple Sugar Free, which has become the second biggest flavour in the Tango range, with sales growing by 94.8% in the past year.
Tango Cherry Sugar Free will be sold in multiple formats, including 330ml cans, 500ml bottles, and 2L bottles, with prices ranging from 80p to £12.49 for multipacks.
The launch will be supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign across PR, social media, influencer partnerships, and in-store promotions.
