Skittles adds to Giants range with Gooey new line

Mars Wrigley has added to its Skittles Giants range with the launch of Gooey, which it is calling its “most ambitious” NPD to date.

The new launch consists of soft, giant Skittles with a gooey citrus core across strawberry, lime, lemon, blackcurrant and orange flavours.

It is available to the convenience channel in a 109g treat-size bag, with a 125g pouch set to follow.

“By extending the Skittles Giants range, for which 40% of shoppers are incremental to the category, we will drive frequency and penetration among shoppers looking for a flavour adventure with a burst of intensity,” said Skittles senior brand manager Alice Maramotti.

The launch will be supported by out-of-home, sampling and paid media.
