Rustlers has launched a new food-to-go machine aimed at small- and medium-sized stores.
Supplier Kepak says the machine, which is priced from £2,500 with financing options available, can pay for itself with one sale per day.
It serves the Rustlers Cook in The Box range, with a chiller underneath the microwave which stores eight cases, reducing stockroom usage for retailers. It also requires a single plug socket, and has a digital screen for advertising.
The first 100 retail customers to install a machine will get a free launch kit, which includes a fridge full of stock, one light-box shop sign and access to social media support material to help them advertise the machine.
Kepak to launch new Rustlers hot food machine into convenience
Ross Davison, head of convenience at Rustlers, said: “With 51% of Rustlers consumed at lunchtime, the brand is already synonymous with being a market leader in quick food solutions on the move. The launch of our new food-to-go unit and launch kit demonstrates our commitment to helping smaller stores win their fair share of the growing lunchtime opportunity.”
Mike Fitton, head of franchise operations for Welcome, which is currently rolling out the machines nationwide, added: “The unit is easy for customers and staff to use. The machine is pre-programmed, and staff just have to clean it once a day. Because the products are microwaved in packaging, we rarely get spills, but staff are trained to be on the lookout to avoid allergens being spread.”
Retailers who are interested in buying a machine or receiving a launch kit are encouraged to email foodtogo@kepak.com.
