PepsiCo has launched a giveaway offering 10 independent businesses the chance to win up to £2,000.
In a first for the supplier, the giveaway is open to both independent hospitality businesses and retailers.
Entrants must buy three cases of any qualifying product in a single transaction from a participating wholesaler and text “SUNSHINE”, their full name, business name and postcode to 85100 to be in with a chance of winning by 31 August. Qualifying products are:

- All 32 x 45g Walkers
- All Walkers Max 50g
- All Walkers Baked 37.5g
- All Doritos 32 x 40g and 24 x 48g
- PopWorks 18 x 28g
- PopWorks Sweet & Salty 85g

- All £1.25 price-marked packs (PMPs)
SBF brings back ‘Win the weekend’ competition
The competition comes as out-of-home snacking now has a 19% share of the savoury snacks category, up by 5%. Additionally, the inclusion of PMPs in the list of qualifying products aims to help retailers tap into growing demand.
Sharing PMPs account for 42% of salty snacks value sales in crisps, snacks & nuts and are growing by 20.1% compared to last year.
“The start of summer means more consumers visiting convenience stores and independent outlets, to prepare for a barbecue, grab a quick snack, or spend time with friends and family,” said PepsiCo’s head of wholesale, Mike Chapman.
“We wanted to support our independent away-from-home and retailer colleague s through one of the busiest times of the year with our latest giveaway, helping them to invest in their outlets so that they can continue serving their communities.”
