Müller and Myprotein launch high-protein collaboration

The protein segment of chilled yogurt and potted desserts is growing at four times the rate of the overall category

Müller Yogurt & Desserts and Myprotein have collaborated on a range of high-protein yogurts and desserts to capitalise on the segment’s growth.

The new range consists of High-Protein Yogurts, available in 500g pots in Vanilla and Natural varieties, with respective protein quantities of 45g and 49g (RRP £5).

Also available are Low-Fat Puddings, in 200g pots in Chocolate and Vanilla varieties, each containing 20g of protein (RRP £1.95), and Low-Fat Mousse, also in 200g pots with 20g of protein, in Chocolate and Salted Caramel varieties (RRP £2.50).

Müller launches £1.69 PMP Cadbury Milkshakes

The range is launching on 11 September and will be supported by a digital campaign. It comes as the protein segment of chilled yogurt and potted desserts is growing at four times the rate of the overall category.

Richard Williams, CEO of Müller Yogurt & Desserts, said: “The question we’ve been asking ourselves is how do we continue to optimise our health and nutrition range, while bringing something to the dairy aisle that is unique, appeals to expanding shopper needs, and drives further protein category growth?

“What we found is that existing and new protein yogurt shoppers have some concerns around taste, credibility in terms of sports nutrition, and many can be intimidated by brand positioning which focuses on elite sports.

“So, by expanding our range and bringing together Myprotein, who are the experts in sports nutrition with Müller’s reputation for outstanding taste, we are confident that we have found the perfect pairing for shoppers.”
