Monster adds Rio Punch to Juiced variety

The new flavour nods to Brazil and Rio de Janeiro with its papaya and blackcurrant flavours and colourful can design

Monster has added a new Rio Punch variety to its Juiced range to capitalise on its growing value sales driven by new flavours.

The new variety is available today in plain and £1.75 price-marked cans as well as four-can multipacks. It combines the Monster Energy blend with a combination of notes of sweet papaya, vanilla ice cream and blackcurrant, inspired by a popular Rio de Janeiro dessert.

Its can design features the green and yellow of the Brazilian flag with references including carnival motifs and a visual of the Christ the Redeemer statue.

Monster adds Strawberry Dreams to Ultra range

The launch comes as the Monster Juiced range accounts for 34% of flavoured energy value sales, is up by 18.1% in value sales and is worth more than £290m in Britain. Additionally, Monster Juiced Mango Loco is the number one flavoured energy drink in value sales in Britain, according to Nielsen figures for 2024.

Helen Kerr, associate director of commercial development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB, said: “Over the past year, Monster has driven more than half of innovation sales in energy drinks – adding an impressive £84.7m in value to the category. Shoppers love the bold, flavour-packed Monster Juiced range, which is up 18.1% in value and growing faster than both the flavoured energy segment and the total energy category.

“Every year our Juiced launches are among the top-performing launches in energy drinks. We’re confident Rio Punch, which is already one of our top sellers in the US, will continue that trend, and we’re excited to see how retailers bring the launch to life in-store.”
