McVitie’s launches nostalgia-inspired trio

Pladis has launched a trio of limited-edition McVitie’s lines to appeal to shoppers’ nostalgia – Eton Mess and Lemon Meringue cake bars, and Candy Floss Iced Gems.

Eton Mess consists of a strawberry-flavoured sponge topped with light cream with meringue pieces, enrobed in milk chocolate. Lemon Meringue features a lemon sponge topped with lemon cream with meringue swirls and sugar pearls coated in milk chocolate.

Pladis adds Popping Candy Cake Bars to McVitie’s BN range

Both will be available to convenience and wholesale soon after launching in supermarkets in packs of five individually wrapped 24.5g bars with a £1.25 RRP.

Meanwhile, Iced Gems Candy Floss will also have a £1.25 RRP for a 5x23g multipack. It is available now from Iceland ahead of a wider expansion next month.
