Campari is rolling out a unified label design for Magnum Tonic Wine in both the UK and Jamaica. The new design arrives in the UK this week, and Jamaica in April.
According to Campari, the standardisation of the product’s packaging across the two markets aims to address consumer misconceptions about their being differences in the product. The drink itself has always been the same in both the UK and Jamaica.
The new look is inspired by the original green-label design sold in Jamaica. It’s hoped the colour scheme will help the product standout more on UK shelves.

“The differing packaging requirements in the UK and Jamaica have resulted in Magnum Tonic Wine having two distinct labels,” explained Pavel Smith, marketing manager Jamaica at Campari.
“This has led to misconceptions about the authenticity of the Magnum sold in the UK, despite the fact that it has always contained the same liquid, with all production taking place in Jamaica. We’re excited to unify the visual identity of our product in both markets, eliminating any confusion and reinforcing its authenticity.”
Cash & carry stockists will have orders fulfilled with the new label stock automatically. Campari advises retailers speak to their local depot manager about getting the new label stock.
