Self-service juice machine provider iSqueeze has added Isla, a pineapple slicing machine, to its range.
The supplier claims the machine is the first to offer shoppers ready-to-eat, freshly sliced pineapple in the UK. It costs £17,500 outright excluding VAT, or £450 per month on contract hire with full maintenance cover.
It is available for varying fruit sizes, with a 600g pineapple costing shoppers £3.49, compared to an average pre-cut 300g pineapple’s price of £2.30.

Multi-site retail group Jempson’s has become the first retailer to install an Isla machine (pictured). iSqueeze also lets businesses customise their machines to fit with their store’s identity by using bespoke graphics and stickers.
Neil Sheppard, operations manager at Jempson’s, said: “We are excited to be the first retailer to offer self-service fresh pineapple in store, prepared using the new Isla machine which we know will be popular with customers who like convenience but don’t want to compromise on nutritious and high-quality foods. iSqueeze complements our drive to keep innovative, fresh food which is good value at the heart of what we do. The hands-on team have also made the installation process seamless.”
