Fox’s Burton’s Companies UK (FBC UK) has partnered with confectionery supplier Ferrara Candy on the launch of Nerds Gummy Clusters.

The range, which combines the tang and crunch of Nerds sweets with a gummy texture, is launching in five SKUs, and will be available from selected wholesalers from August.

These are 45g and 113g formats in Fruits and Berries flavour varieties, as well as Nerds Rope, a candy string in the Fruits variety.

The new range comes off the back of strong growth for the legacy Nerds range, up by 65% year on year. Additionally, Nerds has delivered the highest growth in the sugar candy category in the US in the past two years, contributing 23% to category growth.

Colin Taylor, trade marketing director at FBC UK, said: “There was no better time to launch Nerds Gummy Clusters in the UK, as we’ve seen booming success in the US. In fact, Nerds Gummy Clusters shoppers are spending 55% more than the category average in the US, so we know this range is effective at trading up shoppers and unlocking a delicious amount of opportunity for retailers.

“What’s more, the new Nerds Gummy Clusters will help retailers tap into the trend of ‘newstalgia’, by reinventing an iconic brand and driving shopper trial. Nerds is growing in both awareness and popularity in the UK, with 70% of Brits claiming they have heard of the brand, so now is the perfect time for retailers to introduce the brand to their stores.”

FBC UK is supporting the launch with investment running from this month until December 2025 across outdoor and digital advertising, as well as on-demand partnerships with ITV, Channel 4 and Amazon Prime.
