Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) and Pernod Ricard have collaborated to launch an Absolut Vodka & Sprite RTD can.
Rolling out in February across wholesale and convenience ahead of wider grocery availability in spring, the collaboration (5% ABV) is available in a 250ml can at an RRP of £2.30.
The can’s design features an outline of Absolut’s Vodka’s recognisable bottle shape, with a colour gradient resembling the mix of the vodka with Sprite’s lemon and lime flavour.
Coca-Cola aims to be ‘total beverage business’ with Jack Daniel’s collaboration
Elaine Maher, associate director, commercial development at CCEP GB, which is distributing the drink, said: “We know refreshment is the number one preference among consumers when making an alcoholic RTD choice, and that is something Sprite’s lemon and lime taste is particularly renowned for. With this in mind, and in combination with the striking can design, we’re confident that Absolut Vodka & Sprite will help elevate ARTD sales for retailers particularly as we enter the warmer months.
“Absolut Vodka & Sprite will join our existing ARTD portfolio, Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola and Jack Daniel’s Coca-Cola Zero Sugar to help drive growth into the £540m ARTD category which remains the biggest ARTD market in Europe and expected to grow significantly by 2027.”
The launch of Absolute Vodka & Sprite will be supported by a summer marketing campaign including social media, influencers, sampling and outdoor advertising. Convenience retailers will also have access to PoS kits and digital sales assets from My.CCEP.com.
