Biona launches Organic Super Seed Bread sliced loaf

Organic food supplier Biona is expanding its bakery offering with the launch of Organic Super Seed Bread.

The sliced loaf is high in protein and contains oat kernels, sunflower seeds, flax seeds and pumpkin seeds.

It is made without artificial additives, preservatives, wheat, yeast, sugar or chemical pesticides.

Biona unveils multi-seed bread roll range

According to the supplier, over three million UK consumers are now actively avoiding ultra-processed foods, which make up more than 54% of the UK adult diet. Additionally, the loaf is suited for time-poor shoppers as it is pre-sliced.

Carmen Ferguson, brand manager at Biona’s parent company Windmill Organic, said: “With sales of traditional wrapped bread in double-digit decline, and demand for healthier, minimally processed bakery options rising, this new launch is well-timed and should be a huge success.”
