Accolade Wines has launched Wine Advantage, a new online platform to help convenience stores grow their wine sales.
The new platform provides retailers with exclusive category insights, optimised store planograms, PoS materials and the latest brand updates.
To bolster its launch, Accolade Wines is offering a free case of wine to retailers who sign up, implement PoS materials in-store and share a picture of their display.
The supplier had recently conducted store trials with seven Go Local retailers. The trial delivered a 9% increase in value sales for the participants, compared to a wider wine market decline of 4%.

Key to the success of the trial was the use of PoS and merchandising which split the retailers’ wine category by occasion. Different consumption occasions include: “value”, “perfect for tonight”, “flavour favourites”, “party essentials” and “gift, treat & celebrate”.
Thomas Joyce-Brown, head of trade marketing – Europe at Accolade Wines, said: “Convenience retailers have a huge opportunity to unlock incremental sales through wine, but they need the right tools to do so. The results of our trial with Parfetts prove that a well-structured, easy-to-shop fixture can have a significant impact on sales performance.
“With the launch of Wine Advantage, we are equipping retailers with everything they need to succeed, making the wine category more accessible, profitable, and future-fit. We are fully committed to providing the insights, tools, and support retailers need to drive sustained growth and success in the category and we can’t wait to see it come to life.”
