Max Schwerdtfeger, editor of Newtrade Insight, recently spoke to Derek Baker, trade marketing controller at major confectionery manufacturer Perfetti Van Melle to talk about the latest trends in the mint, sweets and gum category, and the importance of Halloween when it comes to driving sales in independent convenience retail.
