Find out what other stores are charging for sugar confectionery bags, and where you could make some extra margin

Compare the price of your sugar confectionery bags range

Behind the numbers
  • The majority of sugar confectionery bags are charged at the most-common price by more than sixty percent of retailers. On some lines, significantly more than that stick to the most-common price. A fact which points to the power of price-marked packs in the category.
  • There are exceptions, however. Seventy-four percent of retailers charge above the £1 most-common price on Ginni’s Pear Drops 110g. The highest price charged is £1.89, pointing to the possibility to grow profit on some of the less-well known brand names.
  • Similarly, 59% of stores are exceeding the £1 most-common price on Tango Bon Bons Blue Raspberry 140g. The highest price being charged is £1.50.
  • In general higher priced lines are seeing retailers take less risk on exceeding the most-common price. Swizzels Drumstick Squashies Original 140g has a £1.59 most-common price, and 96% of retailers are sticking to that price. Similarly, Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles 143g has a £1.39 most-common price, which 90% of stores are sticking to.
