Carlsberg Britvic supports convenience stores by engaging with local communities

Earlier this year, Tango launched its latest new ‘Editions’ flavour, Strawberry Smash, an explosion of great tasting strawberry and pineapple flavours. 

The product is a new addition in Tango’s annual rotational flavour series, which has seen considerable success. Previous ’Editions’, including Tango Mango, Paradise Punch and Berry Peachy, have been crowned as the number one new product development in fruit flavoured carbonates in their respective launch years[1]

To provide greater choice to shoppers and further strengthen the growing category, Tango Strawberry Smash is launching into the £1.2 billion fruit-flavoured-carbonates category[2]. Strawberry is familiar to consumers and when combined with pineapple, it is set to smash tastebuds with the brand’s signature Tang.  

Creating a Tango buzz with in-store visits 

To support retailers and help them make the product a success in-store, Tango activated branded takeovers to ensure Strawberry Smash was front and centre. The activity aimed to encourage footfall and drive trial of the product, by using branded bunting, a Tango Strawberry Smash stand with branded cups for sampling, and even a Tango Strawberry-inspired pinata to create excitement around the launch.

  2. Activate and make a splash in-store: Driving visibility in-store using POS and engaging merchandising will help to increase awareness and sales.
