Having campaigned long and hard to improve the safety of members, it was pleasing to discover that the law to protect shop workers in Scotland has been a success so far.

In a presentation to our Scottish members, Gary Kenhard, from the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, revealed that since attacking a retail worker became an aggravated offence in August 2021, there have been 3,099 reports made to Police Scotland under the Act.
