Independent Achievers Academy winner Ramesh Shingadia is confident retailers can profit from ranging advice. He is encouraging retailers to focus on ranging their stores effectively after a refit improved sales by 10%.
The owner of Londis, Southwater, West Sussex, said tailoring his range perfectly for his customers, with the help of Unilever initiative Partners For Growth, helped deliver the yearly growth.
Shingadia expanded fresh and chilled and used planograms from both his symbol group and Partners for Growth to help increase sales. He reviews the range in every category monthly.
“It’s invaluable impartial advice and the guidelines on merchandising and display on their websites are really good,” he said.
