• Aunt Bessie's Fluffy and Buttery Mash Potato has a most-common price of £2.99. It's the frozen line that has the highest number of retailers eking out extra profit, 33% charging above the most-common price. £3.99 is the highest price being charged.
• Pizzas have less space for gaining extra margin. While 28% of retailers charge above the £3.49 most-common price on Dr Oetker Ristorante Mozzarella, and 19% exceed the same most-common price on the brand's Pepperoni, these are outliers. All the other pizzas analysed have fewer than 10% of retailers charging above the most-common price.
• It's a different story with Lands 10 Garlic Bread Slices. The line's most-common price is £1.39. Thirty percent of retailers are charging higher, with some going as high as £2.78.
• Meanwhile, Bird Eye's 22 pack of Chicken Dippers has the highest most-common price here, at £4.69. Yet few retailers are finding an opportunity to get more profit on the line. Just 5% charge above the most-common price, with £4.99 the highest price being charged.
