• Boxed chocolates are a category giving retailers little opportunity to grow profits. None of the lines analysed have more than 35% of retailers charging above the most-common price.
• Terry's Chocolate Orange 157g is the line with the most retailers going above the most-common price. The highest price charged is £3.99, while the most-common price is £2.49.
• On some lines there are signs that more retailers are taking the opportunity to eke out some extra profit. Cadburys Heroes 290g has the same most-common price now as it did at the start of last year - £5.49. However, the number of retailers charging above that has quadrupled, from 4% to 16%. The highest price charged on that line is £5.99.
